Our small Sydney-based business was born out of a desire to create allergy friendly cakes and other products for everyone. Our products are gluten free with options for dairy-free, egg-free, vegan and low carb.

The Other Cake was created by founder, Emily, a Sydney-based mother of three and lover of wholesome foods. From a young age she was was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease and has been eating gluten-free for most of her life. Later in life Emily experienced health complications which lead her down a path of healing, involving several restrictive diets. With limited ingredients available to her, this journey challenged Emily to experiment in the kitchen, support local organic farms for her fruit and veggie needs and create her own vegetable and herb garden. Within a few years, many of these health issues were resolved, and Emily now eats a predominantly paleo style diet with the inclusion of some dairy.
Emily has continued to experiment in the kitchen, making her way into the world of allergy-friendly cake making and decorating! She loves experimenting with new recipes and cake decorating techniques in the kitchen. Emily saw that truly everyone should be able to eat cake and so was born 'The Other Cake'. She has devoted countless hours to creating a range of cakes and products to suit a variety of health needs.

Outside the kitchen Emily is a full time mum and part time teacher. She loves art, spending time with family and watching her garden grow!
